For the past 25 years, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has been committed to protecting its local environments through its award-winning Fairmont Sustainability Partnership.
Our third floor terrace is buzzing with action – four beehives and over 250,000 honeybees. Moving on up – We’ve upgraded our mason bee house to a full-fledged pollinator hotel in our rooftop garden – the ‘Bee and Bee’ provides habitat for the hundreds of species of solitary bees (our super pollinators) native to British Columbia.
Fairmont Waterfront is proud to be an original member of the Ocean Wise program and encourages guests to select from the many sustainable options on our menus. Ocean Wise is a conservation program created to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood.

Fairmon Waterfront is on the path to Zero Waste having diverted 90% of our waste away from landfills for three consecutive months!
