Mindful January at Fairmont: Three Spirit-Free Cocktails to Start the Year with Intention
January invites a different kind of celebration — one rooted in balance, clarity and choice. This year, Fairmont properties across the brand have come together to mark Mindful January, a shared moment that celebrates thoughtful drinking and the joy of gathering, without sacrificing flavour or craft.
In partnership with Seedlip, the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, each Fairmont bar team was challenged to create three original, spirit-free cocktails designed to feel just as considered and celebratory as any classic. Guests can enjoy these creations in ARC throughout January — or bring the experience home with the recipes below.
Warmth
Comforting, spiced and aromatic
Ingredients
2 oz Seedlip Spice 94
1 oz apple juice
2.5 oz mango chai lemonade
0.25 oz ginger syrup
1 cinnamon stick, snapped
Garnish
Dehydrated apple slice
Method
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- Shake well until chilled and fragrant.
- Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
- Garnish and serve.
Clarity
Fresh, bright and uplifting
Ingredients
2 oz Seedlip Agave
2.5 oz cucumber water
2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
0.25 oz lavender syrup
Ginger beer, to top
Garnish
Grapefruit slice
Edible flowers
Method
- Fill a Collins glass with ice.
- Add Seedlip Agave, cucumber water, grapefruit juice and lavender syrup.
- Gently stir.
- Top with ginger beer.
- Garnish and serve.
Awaken
Bold, layered and energizing
Ingredients
2 oz Seedlip Grove 42
1 double shot fresh coffee
2 oz pineapple juice
1 oz Undone Bitter Red
0.25 oz chai syrup
Garnish
Expressed orange oil
Orange twist
Method
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- Shake well until chilled.
- Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- Express orange oil over the surface, garnish and serve.
